Another Sign of Spring
This little guy made his appearance today. Like the Red-winged Blackbirds and the Peepers, the chipmunks are a real harbinger of spring. They hibernate in our area and we don't see them all winter. Spotting him today makes me think that despite the forecast for cold weather and snow this weekend, spring is on the way.

Grace enjoyed the picture of the chipmunk. She loved seeing them when we went camping in Ontario.
I have fond memories of feeding chimpmunks with my grandma when I was little girl. I haven't seen chimpunks in the 7 years we've lived here, so they must not like either NC, or areas as urban as ours. You have beautiful scenery around your place-what a treasure!
That a good picture of such a fast little creature. Wonder what he or she thought about all this new snow!
