Each year we take the kids to the dollar store and allow them to each pick out gifts for each other and for Brian and me. This is quite the operation as we parade all the kids in and out of the store. The store clerks get quite a kick out the whole thing.
Then each of the kids gets a turn to wrap all their gifts. They get so excited. (Well, except Dan. He hasn't quite gotten it figured out that all the gifts aren't for him!)
After all were in bed, Bri and I wrapped all the gifts. It has become a fun tradition for us to do most of the wrapping on Christmas Eve.

Perhaps you can wrap things a few nights before Christmas Eve? That would sure make for less to do on that night.
