Secret Sister

At our church we have a ladies program called Secret Prayer Sisters. You are matched up with another lady at church and you are to pray for her and at least once a month you give some type of gift or card. It is all done in secret. Someone else gets your name.

You fill out a questionaire, which will help them know your likes and dislikes. They have a special table set up where you can leave your gifts and cards and if you are sneaky enough, no one will see who puts down what packge. It has been so fun and such a blessing to me to participate the last three years.

Today I received a wonderful Christmas gift from my sister. There was a lovely white teapot and a set of very pretty floral teacups. Lots of yummy goodies and a tea assortment rounded out the package.

Debbie - their gorgeous. THIS is the same box as the sets I bought a few months ago...though my cups are square and pastel.....LOL

What a wonderful gift to receive.

The cantata sounds great.

Beautiful gift, Debbie.

Do you have a spending limit, do you mind me asking? Do you ever feel guilty about not giving as nice as you receive? KWIM?

Just wondering if this idea is transportable to my 'context'. LOL!

Dorothy, there is no spending limit, but no one seems to really mind. There are some that really lavish their sisters and others who have to be more careful financially.

It is amazing how creative everyone gets, from food baskets to pamper baskets to gifts such as the one De'Etta gave with the popcorn boxes.

I think everyone just enjoys getting something, being remembered and knowing that someone is consistently praying for them throughout the year.
