Shopping Day

Yesterday, Brian and I dropped the kids off at my parents house and we went out for a day of shopping. This does not usually happen. We had a wonderful day. It was so fun doing it together and we have decided to try and make this an annual event.

We got a lion's share of the shopping done and had time to go out to lunch. We laughed and joked around in the stores. It is so funny to listen to other people talking. Most people really think that no one else is listening, especially with cell phones. People will jabber away to someone on the phone thinking no one else can hear them. Pretty funny!

Gabe and Dan enjoy the snow

We went back to mom and dad's and we stayed for dinner. Two of my nephews are up visiting from Ohio. It was so good to see them and the kids had a great time playing with their older cousins.

There was a little bit of snow at their house, so the kids had a great time playing outside for a while. The Littles get cold very quickly.

The kids got to open one present that Aunt Sally and Uncle Tom had sent. My sister had made them cinch sacks. Not really sure if that is what they are called. They are a backpack made out of cloth that cinches with cord. The cord is also used as the shoulder straps. They all came out perfect...great colors and she made a smaller one for Dan that is very cute. I'll have to try and get a photo later of the bags.

Everyone had a great day!

As soon as Dan got home he ran upstairs and put "Mr. Teddy" and his small blankie in the hobo sack.

Then came the predictament of whether Teddy needed to stay IN the bag or taken out so Dan could sleep with him.
