We went out this week to this scene. The liner had split and most of the water is gone from the pool.

This was not on our springtime list of things to to, but it just jumped to the top of the list. None of us can imagine a summer without our pool.
The biggest question now is whether we will attempt to do this project ourselves or hire it out. The price almost doubles having someone else do it. Brian says we are up to the task. Let the fun begin!

It must be great to have a dh who is gifted in those practical areas!
Where did all the water go with the ground so frozen?
I hope it all goes well for you. Looking forward to seeing the pictures! {g}
Oh No, Debbie! I can't imagine a summer without getting to enjoy all those pictures of your family enjoying the pool. What a bummer!
As Dorothy said, how lovely to have a dh qualified to do the work. I know it's still work but you'll do it as a family. :)
Wow - well 11 years IS amazing....and if Bri says you can do it - then I believe you can.
Can we do it? YES WE CAN! ::snort::
Dorothy,
The ground is probably only frozen a few feet down, so the water could have drained out below that. It happened very quickly.
Kathy, I'm sure we will have it repaired one way or another. Brian is very capable of doing it, but his time factor is always very tight.
De'Etta, we are having a lot of fun with the Bob the Builder slogan...it has become a family chuckle after the Obama statement. Thanks for the chuckle.
WHAT a blessing that Brian is so capable. I am so grateful to have a handy husband. There are so many things we never could have afforded to PAY someone else to do!
Oh No! It sounds like Brian is up to fixing it before summer though so that is good!
Our barn roof collapsed due to the snow and ice this year. It's too tall to shovel off but never had been a probem just leaving it in years past. Not sure if we'll try to fix it or not. Oh well, it's always something!
Isn't it nice when you have the skills and tools to be able to tackle these types of projects yourself!
