We ended up with 17 quarts of applesause. That should last us for a bit. Gabe and Bessie always love to help and the Littles will enjoy doing the eating.
Bessie and Gabe run the Victorio Strainer
I have to set the card table up as the strainer won't hook to our table with the curved edges. It is amazing to me how sticky everything gets when we are doing this.
The sauce came out much more yellow this year than last. It is fun to see how different it comes out depending on the type of apple. Last year the sauce was a lovely pink color.

That is a LOT of applesauce! What a fun project for the kids to get involved in. Mine love applesauce, but I seem to forget that and don't buy it very often. What a treat to have homemade!
We love the homemade. One of the guys Brian works with owns an orchard and we get a bushel of drops for $3.
YUM YUM! We LOVE home made applesauce.,... ok and now I see the answer to my question about where you got the apples.
That looks soooo good. What a lot of applesauce! Looks like the kids had fun making it.
